At Sawyers Church our desire is to become a praying people who pray according to the Word of God, led by the Spirit of God.  It is vital for the ongoing growth of our faith. God has made us in His image with the ability, through His Spirit, to know and communicate with Him, to speak and to listen. In order to build a healthy prayer life we need to know who God is according to the truth of His Word, not according to our man made image of Him; we need to know who we are and what we have because of what Jesus has done on the cross; we need to pray with faith, believing God's word; we need to yield, to give way, to God's Spirit working in us. He will lead us into all truth. We meet for Early Church prayer, Pre-church prayer, Daily-15's, Individual Prayer, dedicated weeks of prayer and occasional evenings of corporate prayer. 

In addition to this Kate and the prayer team seek to be a source of encouragement for both individuals and the whole body to move forward in our prayer lives, wherever we each find ourselves on our journey of faith.
