SHABACH means, “to shout, to address in a loud tone, to command, to triumph.”
Psalm 47:1 O clap your hands, all peoples; shout (shabach) to God with the voice of joy (or triumph).
Psalm 145:4 One generation shall praise (shabach) Thy works to another and declare Thy mighty acts.

This all seems very extroverted doesn’t it…. I don’t know if you saw the victory parade after the Olympics last year but one thing that stuck in my mind is that everyone was shouting and clapping for joy. This is a natural reaction to victory yet it’s not something we often associate with worshipping the God who is victory!
That’s why the Bible exhorts us to shout and clap – it’s a response of joy to victory. God is victorious, he has defeated sin and death and deserves a shout of praise
