This morning, we look at last two lessons for good mental health and wellbeing.

Lesson Six: recharge daily

Proverbs 4:23

Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.

There is no recharging like the recharging of God’s Spirit that cleans and refreshes. He renews me in the inmost depths of my being.

Psalms 30:5

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favour lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.

Each and every new day, God gives us another chance. That is why God gives us life in twenty-four hour increments. Each of these time periods is broken with something called rest that rejuvenates us, offering us a fresh perspective and a new beginning.

Lesson Seven: fight for your family

Someone once said that the darkest place of any lighthouse is always at its base. The same can be said of our families.

One day after years of work with a wonderful team, I will say my good-byes, pack my bags and, with many tears, walk out of the office. But when I walk out of the office, there’s one place I can walk into – FAMILY

Fight for your family. If you don’t, no one else will.
