This morning we conclude our daily devotions on what did Jesus say about money…..?
In conclusion, did you know?
Giving will always show your love and devotion. Giving is a wise investment – A person is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.
Giving facilitates our involvement in a mission – we can’t all plant churches, or look after orphans but we can direct our money to support these projects.
Giving gives us contentment – it facilitates us to trust in God because giving by its nature is sacrificial.
Giving changes our temperament – where your treasure is there your heart will follow. The greater your investment the more you care. Do you wish you had a greater heart for the poor or for the orphan or the local church then give more?
CT Studd was a very successful International English Cricketer who gave up everything including his inheritance to serve God and be a missionary. He wrote the following poem which sums up what it means to give.
Only one life, yes only one,
Now let me say,”Thy will be done”;
And when at last I’ll hear the call,
I know I’ll say “twas worth it all”;
Only one life,’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last. ”
