We’ve seen this week that God’s heart is for the poor.
We’ve also seen that God uses people to be the hands and feet of God to those in need
We’ve seen that defending the cause of the poor and needy is what it means to know God.
All of these verses apply primarily to real lives. People living in poverty, the widow, the orphan. That is the primary application of these passages.
But there is a secondary application which is that we were all born into spiritual poverty.
For today and tomorrow I want to turn our gaze to sharing faith with those who are spiritually poor. Who have a need for God. I believe we are also to defend the cause, to reach out to, to provide for those who don’t know Jesus by introducing Him to them.
And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.
Just as we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the poor so we are to those who don’t know Jesus. It is our role to go to this world and proclaim the gospel
What do you struggle with when it comes to sharing your faith?
When you read a scripture like this, how do you apply it in your life?
Today, be bold and go and proclaim the gospel
