Matthew 6 v 31 – 34
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Have you ever been stressed over something and worried about something and then worried that worry is a lack of trust in God? When some says, “Just don’t worry about it.” It sounds simple enough, but sometimes we just cant help worrying.
If this is you, why not make a list of all the things that your’e worried about, put it in a box, and then put it on a shelf somewhere. If God is either unable or unwilling to take care of you, you can always go and get the box back and start worrying again – but at least give Him a chance to work on your behalf! While you’re waiting, pray, stand on the Word and don’t give your worries a voice.
Have a great day!
