Looking ahead

12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Philippians 3:12-14

In our last devotion this week, we’re going to think forward. God has a plan and purpose for all our lives and as we reflect we can often see how he has been working. Sometimes when we look forward we can’t always see how he will go on to use us

Can I encourage you this year to be willing to be used by God. However, wherever, with whoever it might be. May your spirit be open to connect with God’s Spirit and respond when God speaks and says go or do.

Spend some time considering these questions today

Where would you like to see change in your life?

Are there particular areas of the church’s life that you feel called to serve in?

What would be the most exciting thing you can imagine God asking you to do?

What would be the hardest thing you can imagine God asking you to do?

May 2018 be an exciting year of being content in Christ, knowing God’s hand of direction and purpose upon you and relying upon His Spirit and power to hold you

God Bless
