So they went and found the colt, just as Jesus had said. 33 And sure enough, as they were untying it, the owners asked them, “Why are you untying that colt?”
34 And the disciples simply replied, “The Lord needs it.” 35 So they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their garments over it for him to ride on.
There are two phrases in today’s reading that stick out to me and they are a great way of understanding the call of God and putting it into action
SO THEY WENT God calls us to obedience
1 Sam 15:22 “Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice,
Where does obedience need to grow in your walk with God?
AND SURE ENOUGH God is the God of ‘and sure enough’. That doesn’t make him predictable, but sure. His word never returns void, His promises never falter, his hope is secure, His provision is perfect. When God calls you to obedience and you obey, He always equips you.
Hebrews 13:20-2120 Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep,21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever.
