About us / What we are aiming for

It’s one thing to attend a Sunday service; it is quite another thing to become an active and committed member of a local church! Church membership is not about signing a contract or joining a club. Sawyers Church is a community, like a family, where every member matters, each voice counts and everyone is encouraged to use their gifts and strengths to serve others both within and outside of the church. The seven qualities and commitments important to us at Sawyers are attached below:-

We encourage membership because;-

• it is a clear choice to align yourself with the beliefs and values of the church.
• it gives you a sense of identity.
• it builds relationships with others in church that grow spiritual life & service.
• it promotes and encourages responsibility to, and for, others.
• it is about involvement and activity. It is not passive!!
• it leads to increased commitment and accountability.
• it leads to an understanding and appreciation of partnership and unity with other Christians.
