Deacons facilitate the life and ministry of Sawyers Church. They serve as leaders in specific ministry roles and contribute to discussion on areas for progress and health in our church life. Deacons are entrusted with responsibility and also delegated with the authority to minister, mobilise and manage within their ministry area. There are ten Deacons at present that link-up monthly with an additional 4 or 5 yet to join.

Deacons are appointed by the Eldership, and are valued and identifiable within the church because they carry a spirit, skill and servant heart to build up the local church and make a difference in this world.
