Hilary was born in Northern Ireland, to a Welsh father, spent her early childhood in Scotland before moving to England at the age of 6½ - a true ‘Brit' if ever there was! Hilary has been married since 1978 to Tim and shares her home with two other young adults, Alastair and Charlotte who used to be children! In her spare time she enjoys being with family and friends - usually involving good food and wine - music, films and theatre. She has been known to watch sports - tennis is a particular favourite but football is an absolute ‘no-no' even though many of her friends are ardent supporters of variously coloured clubs! During the working week Hilary works full time in the NHS managing the medical secretarial service at one of the local hospital Trusts.

Hilary is excited by the growth, challenges and spiritual development at Sawyers and is keen to promote a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere to all who come to worship and spend time together with God. Hilary says ‘There is no substitute for a God-centred church family and the Welcome and Hospitality ministry has a contribution to make in introducing visitors to the Sawyers family'.
