About us / Where we’ve come from

It's great to have you connect with Sawyers!  As a church community we are committed to following the historic-Jesus and bringing His transforming presence into this world today! We love God and believe that His word can increasingly shape all that we think, say and do. We seek to honour Jesus in our worship and invite the Holy Spirit to have His way in our lives and in this, His church.

We are a church in transition having known God's care and guidance since 1956.  We are an independent evangelical church and seek to share the love, peace and light of God's truth across this borough and into the wider world.  As part of the kingdom of God we seek to strengthen and deepen your walk with Jesus Christ in any way possible. Don't hesitate to contact any of the other Elders, Deacons or Staff as we seek to forward the faithfulness of God in the continuing life and witness of Sawyers Church.
