Johnny is an exiled Ulster-man parked here in the glorious South-East. He delights to be the Staff Team Leader Chair of Deacons Team and the Elders at Sawyers Church. He has been described as a 'life-long learner' and has a book collection to prove it! Along the way Johnny has collected a number of pieces of paper summing up some of his learning (!!) ranging from Architecture, Biblical Studies, Systematic Theology, Strategic Leadership & Applied Theology. He loves to discover new movies, fill his i-pod with obscure tunes and experiment as a wanna-be Jamie Oliver!

He is delighted to be Hannah's husband (1997) and dad to Noah (2001) & Esther (2002). Johnny is a passionate visionary and whole-hearted communicator who calls all to live by the truth of God as revealed in Scripture for every area of life. He loves people and loves to engage with anyone at anytime about Jesus! He wants to see Christians prepared and equipped to impact their world and connect the lost with Jesus. His greatest delight, joy and privilege is to walk alongside others in their journey of faith.

As Lead Pastor of Sawyers Church his unswerving commitment is to the spiritual health, maturity and fruitfulness of the local church. Johnny has known and proved the faithfulness of God in his life. Healthy disciples and fruitful church is the consuming passion of his days and, alongside this, he has joy in partnership and kingdom working with others in resourcing faith-development, Youth for Christ, Christian Publication Organization, Hope 2008 locally and nationally.
