About us / Meet the team

Our Lead Pastor, Johnny Douglas serves with three vital teams that seek together to achieve what we believe God has called us to be.

1. Looking after the big picture, our Elders
2. Turning the vision into reality, our Deacons
3. Running the church day-to-day, our Staff

In addition there are two groups of Trustees: Employment Trustees fulfil a role of accountability and duty of care for Staffing (these include congregational members and two non staff Elders) and Church Trustees who are appointed to oversee the Trust (established in 1958) and have responsibility for the site at Sawyers Hall Lane.  Three Trustees are currently active church members with the remainder of this team being Christians who have known and continue to care about the work and ministry of Sawyers Church.
