Sunday life / What to expect / For children and youth

In our Sunday gatherings, separate activities are provided for our Children and Young People of all ages. They begin the service in the main hall; the Worship leader will indicate when it’s time to leave for specific groups. All the groups are led by experienced Children’s and Youth leaders who have been fully checked by the CRB in accordance with our Safeguarding good-practice.
CRECHE There is a crèche room for babies and toddlers (0 to 2 year olds) on the ground floor. There are toys and activities for your children and they will be cared for whilst you return to the service. Please collect your children from Creche at the end of the service.
JAM is for children aged 3 to 5 and meets in Room C8/9 on the ground floor. Your children will listen to a Bible story, sing songs, pray do craft activities and play together.
POWERHOUSE is for children aged 6 to 11 (up to Year 6 at Primary school) . The Powerhouse children usually divide into 2 groups - one group for children in Years 1,2 and 3 and the other for children in Years 4,5 and 6. They explore the Bible and find out about what it means to be a Christian through games, crafts, discussion, drama and all sorts of other activities.
As well as the childrens work we also provide separate activities for the youth (aged 11-16) during the teaching time. These activities are designed to be relevant and effective ways of engaging young people with the Bible.
Our Children’s Ministry Leader Rachael, and Youth Ministry Leader Jon will gladly assist you should you want to know more.
We believe that all can encounter and grow in God; this is our committment and weekly aim!
