Who We Are / Meet the Leaders
The Leadership Team at Sawyers Church bring vision and direction to the church and work in partnership with the staff, small group leaders, ministry leaders and volunteers to make a difference and build community.
The church also has a Board of Management that deal with the administrative side of the organisation and a Board of Reference who bring advice, challenge and accountability.
The Leadership Team consists of
Pastor Peter Jordan - a former Police Officer of 25 years experience who is married to Theresa and has a passion for seeing the local church fulfil its God given role within the local community and beyond.
Steve Dodgson - married to Gill with two teenage daughters. Steve has lived and attended Sawyers Church since 1993 and is thankful to God for his own Christian upbringing. Steve works for the government
John Morris - a local Head Teacher who is married to Val and has four beautiful daughters. John is also a Trustee of the Watoto Children's Charity and has been involved in worship for over 20 years.
Abi Mustafa - married to Funmi, Abi was born in Manchester and has four fantastic children. He has a passion to see people grow in their relationship with God and along with his family is committed to the local church.

The leadership team are supported by Elaine Pitman who is the Administrator and PA.
Elaine Pitman - Elaine moved to Brentwood in 1997 and is a great mum and friend to her children. Her desire is to see children give their lives to Jesus at a young age so that they live a God-centred life as adults. Elaine is the face of Sawyers Church with a warm smile and welcome to all who come through our doors.
