Staff
Peter leads the staff team as part of his overall responsibility in leading the church. He is as an accredited minister with Assemblies of God and takes an active role in working with other churches and local organisations.
Jonathan Clayton
Jonathan is the Operations Manager at Sawyers Church. He is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Sawyers Church. The role is to ensure that facilities and resources are mobilised, in place when needed, and coordinated, to support the Staff and Ministry Teams in carrying out their respective responsibilities to deliver activities/events.
Magali Ellis
Magali Coordinates our children’s work in the community and our Kids Church on a Sunday. Magali is a Primary School Teacher with many years’ experience of working with children and Families.
Elders
Pastor Peter and Theresa Jordan
Peter is married to Theresa and they have two children. Peter is a former police officer and has been the pastor of Sawyers Church since October 2009. Theresa is a primary school teacher and runs a local family centre.
John and Val Morris
John is married to Val and they have four daughters. John and Val are both primary school headteachers. They are both accomplished musicians and enjoy taking part in worship.
Abi Mustafa
Abi has four children. Abi is a project manager . He is passionate about God’s word and the power of prayer.
Thomas is married to Nadia. Thomas works as a teacher and Nadia works as a senior practice nurse. They are committed to helping people to grow in faith and put this faith into action.
Eric and Tina Mensah
Eric is married to Tina and they have two children. Eric is a teacher and is passionate about the power of prayer. Tina serves regularly as part of our hospitality team.
Trustees
The Trustees are responsible for governing the Sawyers Church Charity and directing how it is managed and run. Our elders all serve as Trustees alongside other members of the church.
The Trustees are: Peter Jordan, John Morris, Abi Mustafa, Thomas Halley, Eric Mensah, Becca Woollgar, Olivia Omideyi, Alan Maltwood and Rupert Bugg.
